planning sheet

11/22

● Give yourself a title: are you in the Senate or the House?: House

● Party Affiliation: Republican

● A slogan that reaches and persuades the masses: “To be smart is to chose smart”

● An image (portrait, historic, catchy-design:

● Platform Topics (3) from below include: (these can be on page 2 or the back): EDUCATION

○ significance and population targeted: Parents wanting a good education and future for their ids

○ implications for voters to consider: emotions, how I relate to them, diversity

○ Your proposed recommendations for each topic: when looking into education, my plans would be to help out the ones that can’t help themselves, but also focus on what is going on directly in school. As a student in school I am able to see things that others don’t see or maybe put in an opinion or two. Therefore, i am going to use the experience that I personally have to create a image for myself.

Topic #2: Law enforcement

  • significance and population targeted: Law enforcement themselves and families that may have someone from the law in them.

  • Implications for voters to consider: emotions, who has been affected individually, public influences

  • Proposal: As someone from the outside I don’t agree with what is going on, therefore I would want to get into contact with law enforcement themselves and work one on one to show what I truly stand for. Also, remind people that I am there for them.

Topic #3: State budget

  • significance and population targeted: The people in my state, those who reside in the place that I am running in.

  • implications for voters to consider: emotions, my audience, others political views

  • proposal: give them and show them a plan for a budget and show exactly where all the money in the state goes. When you show proof, they are more likely to respect and belive you.

● Conclude with a statement of today’s political issues vs those of at least 1 past era.

○ Use specific examples in your closing statement.

In the society we live in today, poultices are spread so easily. With the use of media, may that be televised or social media, we hear about problems in the matter of minutes to days. This, in my opinion, is the biggest problem with political issues today. The era that I Chose is the 17th century. Growing up in school and learning about how the US was colonized, word took days to get to the other. So therefore, the spread of Fake news was not very common. Today a rumor can be spread in the matter of a button.
