A Historical Site (Middle School)

Hi everyone, welcome back to the Amazing blog of Florida!! Today I want to take you along and bring you to another historical site in my small town. One that I spent three years of my life at. Callahan Middle School. I attended the visit along with my Boyfriend, Brooks on November twelfth at around five in the afternoon. During our visit, we were there for around ten minutes just because it had been a part of both our lives.  Before segregation was banned, the middle school in my town was the all black high school. It states in Pine Forest Community High School (The American South), “ Starting in 1951, the black schools in Hilliard, Bryceville, and Kings Ferry were consolidated with the black school in Callahan to form Pine Forest High School.” During the time of operation, (seventeen years) it was open to grades 1-12. In 1968, is when all schools in Nassau integrated and Pine Forest High School became Callahan Middle school. All buildings have been renovated but the only true building
